Student Progress

As students play assigned games, their scores and completions are recorded automatically. The Student Progress area brings this together so you can see how your class is doing.

Viewing progress

Open Student Progress from the sidebar and choose a class. You’ll see each student alongside the games they’ve played, their scores, and what they’ve completed.

Where the data comes from

Games report activity using xAPI, an education standard for tracking learning. Statements are stored in the edu.games Learning Record Store and summarised into the reports you see — you don’t need to configure anything.

Reading the results

  • Completed means the student finished the game or a tracked activity.
  • Score is reported by the game, usually as a percentage.
  • Not every game reports scores — some only report completion. This depends on how the developer built the game.
