FOR STUDENTS

Getting Started

Welcome! edu.games lets you play learning games your teacher or tutor has chosen for you. Your progress is saved automatically while you play, so your teacher can see how you’re doing.

What you’ll need

  • A class code from your teacher — 6 letters and numbers, like AB1C2D. If a tutor invited you instead, you don’t need a code.
  • An email address you can read, so you can confirm your account and sign in.
  • A web browser on a school or home computer, tablet or Chromebook. A few games also have a Windows download — see Desktop Games & the Launcher.

Creating your account

Go to edu.games/auth/register, choose Student, and fill in your name, email and a password. There is a box for your class code — type it in and you will be in your class as soon as your account is active. Check your email for a confirmation link and click it. If your school gave you an account instead, skip this step.

Signing in

Go to student.edu.games. You can sign in with a magic link (an email with a link — no password to remember), with your password, or with Google or Microsoft if your school uses those. More detail is in Accounts & Signing In.

Your portal

The Student Portal has two pages in the sidebar:

  • My Games — every game assigned to any of your classes or by your tutor. Until you join a class it shows “No class joined yet” with an Enter class code button.
  • Profile & Class — change your display name, see the classes you are in, join another class, or leave one.

Next steps

  1. Join your class if you didn’t enter a code when you registered.
  2. Play your games from My Games.
  3. If a game shows a Download button, read Desktop Games & the Launcher first.
Remember to Sign out (bottom of the sidebar) when you finish on a shared computer, so nobody else plays as you.
