Joining a Class
Joining a class links your account to your teacher. The games they assign appear on your My Games page, and your progress in those games is shared with them.
Step 1 — Get your class code
Your teacher has a class code for each class — 6 letters and numbers, for example AB1C2D. Ask them for it if you don’t have one. If you typed the code when you registered, you are already in the class and can skip to Playing Games.
Step 2 — Enter it under Profile & Class
- Sign in at student.edu.games.
- Open Profile & Class in the sidebar (or press Enter class code on the My Games page).
- Type the code into the Join a Class box. It is switched to capital letters for you, so upper or lower case doesn’t matter.
- Press Save. You’ll see “Saved!” and the class appears in the Your Classes list with its name and code.
If the code doesn’t work
A message like “Class code … not found. Check with your teacher” means the code was typed wrongly or the class doesn’t exist. Check every character with your teacher — a zero and the letter O look alike. Nothing is changed on your account until a valid code is saved. If you see “Could not reach the server”, check your internet connection and try again.
Being in more than one class
You can join as many classes as you need — for example one for maths and one for science. Enter each new code the same way; the classes stack up under Your Classes, and My Games shows the games from all of them together. The line at the top of My Games tells you how many classes and games you have.
Leaving a class
Press Leave next to a class under Your Classes. Its games disappear from My Games and that teacher can no longer see you on their roster. Only leave a class if your teacher says to — you can rejoin later with the same code.
